"Deadly Ties" by Vicki Hinze

Deadly Ties by Vicki Hinze is book two in her Crossroads Crisis Center series. Book one is Forget Me Not. Both books are really great suspense with some sweet romance too!

If you haven't read Forget Me Not, the author gives you enough background that you won't be lost, but it is pretty much a continuation of the story, and if you have the time I would recommend reading both books. You will appreciate this story better if you've read them both, in my opinion. Still, don't let me deter you. It would be a great book either way.

There are some really great characters in this story. Lisa Harper had a difficult childhood. Now she's all grown up and she's strong and spends her time helping women at the crisis center. What she really wants is to help her Mom. She just doesn't realize how much danger she's in.

I very highly recommend this book! It's well written, with action, danger, intense suspense, romance, and a wonderful message. You'll be hooked from the very start and it will keep you turning the pages until the very end. It's complex and intelligent. The characters and the story are both engaging. I wouldn't mind seeing more books set at the Crossroads Crisis Center. I really love Vicki's writing and I have enjoyed this series.
